Boise Peak Fitness features over 14,000 square feet of climbing terrain
housed in a 8,000 square foot building (two levels). There are over 60 top
ropes and lead routes to choose from (over 150 climbing routes). You can climb up
one of two fabulous towers reaching to a ceiling height of 43 feet or climb up
one of three arches, one of which seems to hang over the Connector (via a
sprawling window canvassing the South East wall of the building). Almost
6,000 feet of the total climbing surface features sculpted foam (real rock)
giving shapes unheard of in any other indoor climbing gym. This sculpted
rock (foam) was shaped by local artist/climber - Chris Schofield. There is
also a huge bouldering cave under the teaching area mezzanine, to surely give
the extreme bouldering climbers the type of terrain they demand. Upstairs,
features a full breadth of cardio equipment and weight training equipment
fitness and weights to compliment the
"ultimate work-out". Be sure to take in a yoga or Pilates class which is
50% off for all members yoga/Pilates.
There is also a spacious locker room with showers to catch a work-out before
work (arrive at work showered and fresh). On the way out be sure to catch
the pro-shop, which keeps an inventory of all of those critical items needed for
climbing Pro-Shop. Also, after a long climbing
session with a friend/friends be sure to relax at the "Flying-M" style sofas
next to the snack bar with a coffee or latte.
