Vinyasa yoga
Prana Vinyasa Flow™ Yoga, a continuous flow of asanas, integrating prana or breath to harmonize the physical, emotional and mental bodies.  Marcy has found that being open to the flow of every day and every moment, allows for infinite possibility and evolution of the true self and encourages to bring the teachings of this flow into all that we do.

Ashtanga yoga
Is the system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves linking the breath with postures (asanas).  Postures in the Ashtanga vinyasa class will strengthen, purify, and give flexibility to the body and mind.  The breathing technique used in this form of yoga heats up the body which allows the mind to concentrate and focus while moving in and out of postures.  This class is challenging, rigorous, and is a great form of moving meditation.

lyengar yoga
lyengar style yoga, founded by B.K.S. lyengar focuses on precision, alignment and building strength.  Poses may be held longer so that participants may pay attention to precise alignment and reap the benefits of postures.  Props, such as belts and blocks, are utilized.  Classes are open to all levels of students.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is the most popular branch of Yoga, from which many different styles of Yoga are rooted, including Iyengar & Ashtanga.   All these styles aim to balance the mind, body and spirit through the Asanas, or poses; however, the emphasis will vary with each type of yoga.  A Hatha Yoga class is a great introduction to yoga.

Pilates method
With more than 90 years of success, the Pilates method has been the ultimate full body workout.  By training the body and mind to work together, Pilates strengthens and tones the muscles, improves flexibility, and promotes overall fitness - all without machines.

"In ten sessions you will feel the difference, in twenty you will see the difference, and in thirty you will have a whole new body"
- Joseph H. Pilates

PiYo
PiYo is a combination of both Yoga and Pilates.  PiYo allows you to move at a decent tempo from one pose to another, and from exercise to exercise. Some of the exercises are performed while seated, and some while standing.

Yoga on walls

“yoga-on-walls” is coined by Boise Peak Fitness.  It involves using yoga style body movements, while climbing on the walls.  It uses gravity in addition to yoga in a method that enhances strength and flexibility (two aspects climbers use to enhance their climbing technique).  Generally, one climbs the easier routes (5.6 to 5.7) and focuses on technique. When finished you then down-climb, while on belay.  We encourage multiple laps on the climb.

Mysore Style

Mysore style teaches Astanga Yoga's Primary Series in its original form, the same method used by the late yoga master, Sri. T. Krishnamacharya, who passed it down to present day Astanga guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and from Jois to his students in Mysore, India. Mysore style incrementally unfolds the Primary Series to each practitioner on an individual basis to meet the needs and level of each student. Beginners start with a 20-minute practice that evolves into a 1 hour 30 minute practice with completion of the full series.
