Climbing Merit Badge
The climbing merit badge can be obtained through the Boise Peak Fitness (BPF) Venture Crew.
Scouts can use the Boise Peak Fitness facility to achieve the requirements of the Climbing Merit Badge. The scout can either learn the requirements and then get checked-off at BPF or use the BPF Venture Crew to be checked-off, assuming they have learned the requirements elsewhere.
Getting the Climbing Merit Badge: This process involves trained personnel at BPF Venture Crew in conjunction with your scout counselor. The BPF Venture crew instructor will manage all areas of the process which involve knot-tying, climbing, belaying, and rappelling. The scout counselor will handle all other aspects of the climbing merit badge. After the lessons, the scout will be checked off at BPF for knot-tying, climbing, belaying, and rappelling requirements in front of the scout counselor.
